About the role:
We are is seeking an exceptional Careers Adviser with extensive experience in post-16 guidance and a proven track record of supporting young people in their progression to higher education, employment, and apprenticeships. The role is 17.5 hours a week based at our Angel campus.
Our Careers programme is Matrix-accredited, and we are committed to achieving the Gatsby Benchmarks. You will provide personalised guidance, UCAS support, and deliver high-quality, relevant career-related projects and activities to prepare students for their next steps. Working collaboratively with teaching staff, employers, and external organisations, you will help enhance opportunities and ensure students receive comprehensive careers support.
We are dedicated to continually improving our inclusive and student-centred careers provision, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of all learners. Developing employability skills is a key focus of the role, with established support programmes for those seeking alternatives to university. This role is central to supporting the College's mission to equip students with the skills and confidence to achieve their ambitions.
About you:
Applicants must have appropriate experience and qualifications, including a Level 6 Careers Guidance qualification (only those with Level 6+ will be considered). You should have a strong background in careers education, university support and have knowledge of the 14-19 curriculum, 19+ Access to HE, and T-levels, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with and counsel students.
