We are now seeking a Support Worker to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to women and their children who have experienced domestic abuse, ensuring a safe and empowering environment in a refuge or community setting.
Delivering high-quality support services, you will manage a caseload of service users, create and implement individual support plans, conduct risk assessments, and assist with safety planning, housing rights, and welfare applications.
Additionally, you will co-ordinate new referrals, prepare accommodations, and support residents in accessing healthcare, education, and employment opportunities.
Additionally, you will:
- Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of refuge properties
- Facilitate service user participation in decision-making and community engagement
- Represent us at external meetings
- Build positive relationships with partner agencies
- Maintain accurate records to support continuous service improvement
- Assist with managing tenancy agreements, resolving breaches, and ensuring timely rent payments
About You
To be considered as a Support Worker, you will need:
- Experience delivering support to adults from diverse backgrounds and with mixed abilities and complex needs in a supported environment
- Experience undertaking individual assessments including risk assessments and developing and delivering support plans
- An understanding of local and national approaches to tackling domestic abuse
- Demonstrable knowledge of strategies to empower service users to address issues of DVA
- The ability to participate in the out of hours duty rota
