Job Description Purpose of Role:
We are seeking a motivated Compliance Analyst to support the Risk and Compliance Team by ensuring esure’s systems and controls comply with regulatory requirements and company policies. You will provide oversight and challenge to the first line, ensuring compliance and conduct risks are managed effectively while promoting a strong compliance culture across the organisation.
Insurance, or financial services, experience is highly advantageous for this role.
The day to day:
- Stay updated on UK and EU regulatory developments, liaising with regulators and trade bodies, and keeping compliance policies current.
- Coordinate first-line controls, including areas such as Financial Crime, fraud, and FS crime risk mitigation.
- Partner with the 1st line to ensure company-wide compliance with policies, legislation, and regulations.
- Analyse and communicate the impact of new regulatory requirements to senior management, ensuring products and services meet standards.
- Provide compliance input to business transformation projects and initiatives.
- Conduct regulatory horizon scanning to prepare for future regulatory changes that may impact esure.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc regulatory analysis for management and Board reporting.
- Act as a trusted compliance adviser, collaborating with Compliance Managers to deliver expert mentorship and valuable insights on compliance and risk.
- Support senior leaders in embedding a culture that prioritises customer and conduct outcomes.
- Review and update LMS training modules to meet regulatory requirements.
Qualifications You are a good fit for the role if you have:
- Experience of Consumer Duty, Financial Crime and associated areas of anti-money laundering, financial sanctions, and terrorist financing (as applicable to general insurance) and broader delivery of risk mitigation and control maturity assessment of fraud and financial crime across the organisation.
- A solid understanding of the UK Regulatory environment and associated regulations / legislation.
- Some experience of policies, interpreting, translating, and assessing the impact of regulatory change on the business and its customers.
- The ability to support, provide challenge and/or raise issues identified.
