Clarus Education is excited to partner with a forward-thinking secondary school in Waltham Forest, who are looking for a dedicated Secondary Academic Support Assistant to start ASAP! This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone passionate about education to make a real impact in a dynamic learning environment.

In this role, you will support students through tailored booster and intervention sessions, both inside and outside the classroom. You’ll also work alongside class teachers, helping across various subjects and academic levels to ensure that students reach their full potential.

Having successfully placed multiple graduates with this school in the past two academic years, the school is eager to welcome the next talented graduate into their supportive team.

Secondary Academic Support Assistant - Key Details:

• Role: Secondary Academic Support Assistant
• Location: Waltham Forest
• Working with: KS3, KS4, and KS5 students
• Salary: £85 - £105 per day (Term-time only)
• Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Lead 1:1 and group intervention sessions with students facing academic challenges
• Provide classroom support across multiple subjects and year groups
• Assist with academic progress monitoring and tailored support strategies

Secondary Academic Support Assistant - Ideal Candidate:

• A 1st or 2:1 degree from a reputable university
• Passionate about education, with an aspiration to become a teacher
• Confident, adaptable, and a team player
• Strong communication skills, with a desire to help students achieve their best
• Previous experience in education or tutoring is a bonus, but not essential
