An academic Primary School in the Borough of Merton are looking to recruit a Primary Teaching Assistant.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant in this school, you will be working across EYFS and KS1, providing general Teaching Assistant support, and working with small groups of children delivering phonics interventions.

JOB DESCRIPTION - Primary Teaching Assistant

• Primary Teaching Assistant
• Working in both EYFS & KS1
• Providing general Teaching Assistant support to EYFS during mornings
• Delivering KS1 phonics interventions during afternoons
• Working with children on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Long Term & Full Time - until July 2025
• £85 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

PERSON SPECIFICATION - Primary Teaching Assistant

• Good record of academics - degree, A level, GCSEs
• Good understanding of phonics for KS1
• Experience in a previous role, whether paid or voluntary, would be ideal
• You must be able to work effectively as part of a large team, and be willing to learn
• Must have an outgoing, forward-thinking and creative personality
• Holds a registered DBS or be willing to apply for one ASAP
