Role: Secondary Academic Support Assistant

Working with: KS3, KS4, and KS5 students

Salary: £85 - £105 per day (Term-time only)

Clarus Education is partnering with a progressive secondary school in Sutton, seeking a dedicated Secondary Academic Support Assistant to start ASAP! This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an aspiring educator to make a difference in a dynamic classroom environment. You will support students through tailored interventions, both inside and outside the classroom, while assisting teachers across multiple subjects and academic levels.

Having placed several graduates with this academy chain in recent years, the school is eager to welcome another passionate individual into their team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead 1:1 and group intervention sessions to support students with academic challenges
• Provide classroom assistance across various subjects and year groups
• Help monitor student progress and implement tailored support strategies

Ideal Candidate:

• A 1st or 2:1 degree from a reputable university
• Passionate about education with aspirations to become a teacher
• Confident, adaptable, and a team player
• Strong communication skills, with a genuine desire to support students’ academic growth
• Previous tutoring or education experience is a bonus but not essential
