Job Description

We currently have a great opportunity for a Customer Service Officer role on a permanent basis. The position is based in Basildon, Essex, for one of the leading Construction organisations with hybrid working available. Please see below for more information.

Job Title: Customer Service Officer

Salary: £25,000 - £29,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Location: Basildon, Essex (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for customers post-completion, providing accurate and professional responses to queries.
• Proactively manage customer expectations and resolve routine issues while escalating complex matters when necessary.
• Schedule and monitor work instructions, liaising with Maintenance Technicians, Sub-Contractors, and Material Suppliers to ensure timely completion of works.
• Maintain accurate customer records in company systems and ensure compliance with NHBC/Premier Guarantee and company standards.
• Contribute to business improvements by supporting change initiatives and suggesting new ideas.
  
  

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a motivated, customer-focused team. Reporting to the Customer Services Manager, you will support the delivery of high-quality service to customers. Hybrid working is available, with office attendance as required.

We are looking for a confident and organised individual with:

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and IT skills.
• The ability to manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
• A customer-focused, empathetic, and pragmatic approach to resolving challenges.
• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within the housing or property sector.
