Finance Manager - Reporting, Operations & FP&A
We Do Group is partnering with a leading global business in Surrey to hire a technically strong and commercial savvy, fully Qualified Finance Manager.

Joining a high-performing team operating across EMEA and APAC, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in providing financial visibility and strategic foresight, ensuring that financial goals align with the broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cros-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with commercial, project control, and supply chain teams to drive project success, aligning financial and operational strategies to meet project objectives.
- Operational Efficiency & Working Capital Management: Lead efforts to optimise working capital and improve the order-to-cash process, enhancing cash flow and liquidity management across the business.
- Technical Accounting & Compliance: Establish and maintain sound accounting practices in line with US GAAP. Identify and manage complex and judgmental accounting areas, and ensure robust documentation and compliance with SOX and anti-corruption standards.
- Internal Controls & Governance: Strengthen internal controls by developing, enhancing, and monitoring governance practices across all operational activities. Drive compliance and embed a culture of accountability within the finance team.
- Audit & Financial Reporting: Coordinate audit processes and manage requests, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables. Maintain and analyze the business unit’s balance sheet and lead reconciliations, providing clear insights on P&L drivers and forecasts.
- KPI Development & Reporting: Lead on business unit-specific KPIs, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders, and supporting informed, data-driven decision-making.
- Global Team Leadership: Mentor and coach finance teams across multiple locations, including offshore teams, to drive consistency, efficiency, and excellence in financial operations.
Ideal Experience:
- Financial Operations & Problem-Solving: Strong experience in overseeing day-to-day financial operations, with an ability to identify, address, and resolve complex issues independently.
- Coaching & Leadership: Experience mentoring and influencing finance teams across different regions, including working with remote teams and finance leads in key locations like Chennai.
- Strategic Influence: Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior leadership, providing strategic insights that drive commercial success.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial performance metrics and an ability to translate data into actionable recommendations that impact the bottom line.
- Adaptability in a Fast-Paced Environment: Proven success in a dynamic, high-growth setting, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Technology & Systems Savvy: Familiarity with planning and ERP systems; embraces data-driven insights and technology solutions to streamline operations.
- Analytical Expertise: Skilled at extracting, interpreting, and presenting data for impactful analysis and communication.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional Certification: Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
- Industry Experience: Experience in financial operations, project accounting, and public accounting is a plus.
- Hands-On, Commercially Minded: Strong commercial acumen with a hands-on approach to both strategic planning and project execution.
