About the Role:
My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Employment Solicitor to join a well-regarded law firm based in Manchester. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, providing expert advice and representation across all aspects of employment law. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced solicitor looking to take the next step in their career and work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on a wide range of employment law issues, including but not limited to discrimination, redundancy, unfair dismissal, and employee contracts.
- Representing clients in Employment Tribunal cases and negotiations.
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, settlement agreements, and company policies.
- Providing strategic advice to employers on HR matters, employee relations, and compliance.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, offering tailored, practical solutions.
- Managing a busy caseload and ensuring excellent client service at all times.
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members, contributing to the development of the department.
Key Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with 3 years minimum of experience in employment law.
- Strong technical knowledge and expertise in employment law, with a proven track record in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines efficiently.
- A proactive approach with a focus on client satisfaction and high standards of work.
- Experience in managing and mentoring junior lawyers (desirable).
