As the Head of Intermodal, you will lead our Intermodal strategy and vision whilst driving high performance and operational efficiency to drive an industry leading service. You will lead, inspire, and develop a team of professionals whilst driving continuous improvements and innovative solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Skills and experience you’ll bring to us

• Proven experience within the haulage or shipping industry at a senior level
• Demonstrable experience in developing and executing strategic plans
• Leadership, with strong people management and team engagement
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and own informed decision

How you will help us and what you can expect

• Own and lead the UK transportation, developing the operational strategy to best enable the delivery of commercial, financial and sustainability targets
• Ensuring the teams deliver an industry leading operational capability and infrastructure, driving a high-performance culture through effective performance management against operational KPIs and behaviours
• Drive initiatives that deliver performance KPI’s
• Identify and implement technology to streamline processes and improve service delivery
• Champion a Health and Safety culture with a quality mindset to ensure the Transport Operations complies with all Road, Transport and Health and Safety legislation and governance
• Collaborate with executive leadership to enhance the overall Intermodal product
• Manage budgets, resources, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
• Mentor and develop the team, leading employee engagement and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and learning
