The Role:

Lambeth Council is seeking a skilled and motivated Paralegal to join our Childcare Services legal team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality legal and administrative support to assist in the delivery of childcare and family-related legal matters.

• Preparing legal documents, including court bundles, statements, and case summaries.
• Supporting solicitors with case management for public law childcare matters.
• Conducting legal research and maintaining accurate records.
• Liaising with internal departments, social workers, and external legal representatives.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines and maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of work.

• Proven experience as a paralegal, preferably within childcare or family law.
• Strong understanding of legal processes in public law childcare cases.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
