Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 14:00
Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour PAYE or £14.00 per hour including holiday pay
Contract Type: Maternity Cover

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Food Service Assistant to join the team in Kettering, covering maternity leave. This temporary role offers Monday to Friday working hours from 08:00 to 14:00, with weekly pay. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a busy school kitchen environment, with tasks ranging from pot washing to food service.

Key Responsibilities:

Pot washing and cleaning duties
Assisting with food preparation and serving
Ensuring the kitchen remains clean and safe at all times
Serving food to students and staff
Ad hoc kitchen tasks as required to support the kitchen team
Key Requirements:

Enhanced DBS check with Child Workforce (dated within the last 4 years)
A minimum of 1 year’s experience in a kitchen environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
A flexible approach to various tasks in a busy environment
A positive attitude with a strong work ethic
