CNC Miller/Turner
Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time - different shift patterns available over a 24hr period

Key Responsibilities: - Set up and operate CNC Milling and Turning machines to manufacture high-quality components.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and precision in machining.
- Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure minimal downtime.
- Monitor production processes, adjusting machine settings and parameters as needed.
- Inspect finished parts using a range of measuring tools to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Work to tight tolerances and ensure that all parts are produced in line with engineering drawings and customer requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the engineering team to resolve any production issues and optimise processes.
Requirements: - Proven experience as a CNC Miller/Turner, with a solid understanding of CNC programming and machine operation.
- Experience with both Milling and Turning machines (Mazak, Fanuc, or similar preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Apprenticeship or relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field (preferred).
