Optical Design Engineer

Diamond Search Recruitment are delighted to be representing a new client of ours, a well-established, successful and proactive business operating within the engineering and manufacturing industry.Currently seeking a Optical Design Engineer this exciting role represents a great opportunity to join the team. The successful candidate would be working within an established multi-disciplinary team to develop designs for transmission and reflective optical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Optical design and simulation
• Lens design and lens data documentation
• Assembly process development
• Develop prototypes, and new product introduction
• Monte Carlo analysis
• Practical test and measurement
• Input to factory and type approval testing set-ups and design

Requirements:

• Degree 2:1 or above
• Optical, Engineering or related Science degree,
• Knowledge of optical component and optical system design,
• Knowledge of Zemax optical design software
• Results orientated
