As an apprentice Service Management Analyst (ICT Support) you will be deployed with our client organisations and get hands-on experience.

You will get an opportunity to gain new skills by working alongside experienced staff from TCS and stakeholders from other client functions.

What you’ll do at work:

  • Work within Application Development and Maintenance (ADM) area getting exposure to a complex enterprise IT landscape with multiple technologies, products and systems  
  • Assist the Live Services team to deliver application support to our clients in line with ITIL principles. Ensure all incidents, problems and service requests are accurately recorded and actioned, maintaining contact with customers throughout the process for providing necessary advice and guidance.
  • Help generate relevant metrics, reports, and documentation. Build strong team and client relationships - Gain experience of working within Agile ecosystem and operating enterprise solutions supporting user centred services, Innovation, and continuous service improvement.

Skills needed:

  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal - Customer care and empathy
  • Baseline IT skills (Microsoft suite, O365, any programming languages)
  • Appreciation of technology - Attention to detail - Logical and analytical capability.
  • Team skills and capability to work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds - Driven with passion for self-learning by exploring available resources

Other expectations:

  • Hybrid working - You will be expected to work on client site for a minimum of 2 days a week. You will need to live within commutable distance to office at Newcastle. Operate in shift (if required)

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
