Salary: £35k-£45k
Platform Recruitment has partnered with a manufacturer specialising in the development of special purpose machinery. They’re seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who is interested in all aspects of product development, including concept generation, prototyping, testing, analysis, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be adept at delivering robust and thoroughly tested mechanical design solutions.
The Role:
+ 3D CAD design
+ Design and develop machinery
+ Prototype and test designs
+ Translate customer requirements to specifications
+ Develop test plans and procedures
+ Produce bills of materials
Requirements:
+ Degree in engineering or equivalent experience
+ Experienced in designing special purpose machinery/capital equipment
+ Strong 3D CAD skills
+ Produce manufacturing drawings
+ Knowledge of fabrication, machining and assembly techniques
+ Hands on and practical

The salary will be between £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefits package available.
