Location: Nottinghamshire

Salary: £35,000 - £36,000

You will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check

Working: Monday - Friday - 40+ hours working over 4 days

Purpose of the role

To oversee the quality and operations of a group of our After School Clubs and all of our Nursery settings. To line manage Nursery Managers and After School Club managers in a way which motivates, supports and engages them to be the very best version of themselves.

  • To ensure that all of our nursery settings maintain their Outstanding Ofsted grading and to support our newly registered nursery settings to confidently achieve Outstanding at their post Registration Inspections.
  • To ensure that our nursery settings meet forecast targets for growth, conversion rates and occupancy at all times.
  • To ensure that our After School Club settings are compliant at all times with regards to the EYFS, and with regards to our internal quality assurance processes.
  • To support Managers with their Safeguarding responsibilities and act as a senior DSL.
  • To ensure that all staff are supported with their implementation of our Graduated Approach for children with SEN and / or Disabilities.
  • To work in a collaborative, organised and proactive manner with Staff, Managers, School and Business Managers to ensure we are providing the best possible service at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor the quality of teaching, learning and practice within our nursery settings to ensure our standards remain impeccably high at all times.
  • Lead on the quality of teaching and learning across the nursery sites, ensuring that staff have regular feedback and critique to enable them to be Outstanding practitioners.
  • Complete quality assurance visits weekly on the nursery settings and communicate effectively ideas for ongoing improvement and development.
  • Ensure that our nursery settings are following our in-house curriculum, planning and staff planner document at all times.
  • Complete termly supervisions of the managers in your cluster group giving clear actions and guidance for managers to improve what they do.
  • Complete termly Welfare Requirements Audits of all of the settings in your cluster to ensure compliance at all times and monitor and support settings to complete any actions raised.
  • Attend nursery staff meetings to support staff with training and continued professional development of all staff.
  • Support nursery managers with recruitment of high-quality staff to support their teams as and when required.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the Senior Leadership Team communicating any concerns or issues and identifying any solutions to problems.

Candidate requirements:

  • Relevant experience of overseeing multi-site childcare provision.
  • Proven experience of supporting sites to demonstrate excellence during Ofsted inspections.
  • Excellent knowledge of teaching and learning.
  • A firm understanding of the EYFS, New Development Matters and the Early Years Inspection Handbook.
  • Excellent safeguarding knowledge and proven experience of handling referrals successfully with all parties.
  • Confident to use a range of IT packages.
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and administration skills.
  • An understanding of the unique needs and demands of staffing a number of childcare settings.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills - ability to thrive in a fast paced and quickly changing environment.
  • An understanding of the principles of Safer Recruitment.
  • Ability to travel to various school settings within the Nottinghamshire area - Own transport required.
  • This role will require an occasional visit to Head Office based in Nottingham.
