Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a Catering Assistant to support in the kitchen of a local Secondary School. You will assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages plus related catering duties. Experience not essential however candidates must have good customer care skills and standard of hygiene. Candidates must also be able to work under pressure, have good use of initiative and work as part of a team.

Days: Monday to Friday term time only Hours: 20 hours per week - 10am-2pm.

Desirable Qualifications:

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate - training for this can be provided

Join our dedicated team of experienced staff in the School Kitchen as a Catering Assistant. In this part-time role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school catering services.

Responsibilities:

Perform various tasks, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and setting up the dining hall.

Contribute to maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and canteen areas.

Work collaboratively with the team to ensure that high-quality meals are served punctually.

Requirements:

Right to work in the UK.

Preferably a DBS on the Update Service.

Valid references.

Ability to work under pressure in a physically demanding role.

Excellent communication skills.

Good standard of general education.

Willingness to undertake regular training on hygiene, manual handling, and safeguarding.
