Court of Protection Solicitor / Legal Executive
I am working with a well-established client to find a dedicated Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their Court of Protection Deputyship Team. This is a great opportunity to work on meaningful cases and make a real difference in the lives of clients.
About the Role As part of the Deputyship Team, you will:
- Manage a variety of professional and lay deputyship caseloads from application through to administration.
- Prepare and submit Court of Protection applications, including professional, lay, trustee, and interim/urgent applications.
- Provide expert legal advice to union clients through a free legal advice service.
- Collaborate with case managers, carers, clients, and their families to deliver tailored support.
What You’ll Need To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience managing deputyship files, particularly involving brain injury cases.
- Strong knowledge of the Court of Protection and relevant law.
- Ability to run a caseload independently from the outset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Competence in file management and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach and a commitment to client care.
- Ideally, a qualified Solicitor (NQ – 5 years PQE), though equivalent experience will also be considered.
