Civil Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join a residential construction company in the Newbury area. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with the Engineering team to develop road and drainage plans, liaise with approving bodies, and address engineering challenges effectively. Responsibilities

• Developing road and related designs in liaison with approving bodies

• Preparing detailed Section 38 and Section 104 designs obtaining approvals and completing agreements

• Arranging for Section 38 and Section 104 maintenance inspections and bond releases

• Preparing external levels and private drainage drawings

• Briefing and managing the Foundation Design Consultant

• Assembling and delivering civil engineering package

• Obtaining foundation design approvals

• Discharging engineering related and building related issues

• Assisting in the discharge of engineering related planning conditions

• Attending briefings and meetings as required

• Assisting with the organisation of Utility designs and Diversions

• Leading design team progress meetings onsite

• Co-ordinating Site works

Requirements

• Experience of working in Residential Construction

• Experience producing engineering designs

• HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent

• Knowledge of s. 38, 104 and 278 agreements

• Own transport within 45 minutes of Newbury
