Management Accountant

Macildowie are supporting a logistics business based in South Leicestershire who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis.

This family ran business has a long history within the industry, and currently have turnover of circa £40 million.

You will be involved in all aspects of month-end accounts, supporting purchase ledger, and overseeing bank account management across the organisation.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Monthly Management Accounts: Maintain the accuracy of WIPs (Work in Progress) and accruals, Update fixed asset and prepayment schedules, Identify and rectify anomalies in accounts.
• Check and authorize all bank payments made by the Purchase Ledger Controller.
• Manage the purchasing of foreign currency and monitor accounts for all group companies.
• Ensure accurate and timely VAT submissions.
• Assist in ensuring invoices are promptly entered, statements reconciled, and payments made.

The ideal candidate will be/have:

• AAT qualified / ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified
• Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel
• Experience in inventory accounting and revenue/standard costing
• Ability to work autonomously while being a keen team player

This role will be based in the office primarily, part of a welcoming & inclusive office environment.
