Group Financial Accountant

This role is for a Financial Accountant Or Group accountant who is proficient in IFRS and UK GAAP. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership skills, financial acumen, and a commitment to supporting business growth.

Description

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Work closely with team members to assist with and improve the month, quarter, and year-end close process.
• Perform ad hoc projects related to financial analysis, data collection, and system enhancements.

Profile

A successful applicant should have:

• An ACA/ACCA qualification
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
