We are now seeking an experienced Depot Manager to join our dynamic team in Bristol.

Role Overview:

As the Depot Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our Generator PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) teams and the hire desk team, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your strong technical knowledge of generators, coupled with your leadership skills, will be key to maintaining our high standards of service and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the Generator PDI teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to foster communication, set objectives, and address any operational challenges.
  • Oversee the hire desk team, ensuring efficient processing of orders and excellent customer service.
  • Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Allocate staff overtime and holidays, ensuring adequate coverage and team morale.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to team members, enhancing their knowledge of generators.
  • Collaborate with senior management to implement strategies that improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a management role within the generator hire industry or related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of generators, with the ability to troubleshoot and guide teams effectively.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on fostering a positive work environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with team members and clients.
