Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant - Candidate Specification

• Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant.
• Must hold a 2:1 or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Education Studies, or a related subject.
• Passionate about working with students with special educational needs and supporting their progress.
• Experience in working with young people or individuals with SEN is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant - Job Specification

• Long-term, full-time role
• Work closely with SEN Coordinators and teachers to support students with SEN, such as autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties.
• Provide tailored 1:1 interventions and facilitate small group support sessions.
• Assist in developing and adapting learning materials to meet the unique needs of each learner.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
• Help students build confidence, improve social skills, and overcome academic challenges.
• Monday to Friday, sociable hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm.
