Management Accountant

• Day rate: £250-£300 (PAYE) / £350 (Umbrella)
• Location: Ipswich

Our client are looking for a Management Accountant to join them on a 6-month contract with a view of the role going permanent. They are looking for an ambitious financial controller who is looking to grow with the company.  The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company’s growth and profitability. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and variances
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Conduct cost analysis and efficiency reviews

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Fully qualified in a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
• Post-qualified experience in a similar Financial Controller position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), and ideally Sage.
• Experience in audit and/or working within an internal finance department.
• Experience in Practice/Corporate Finance is an advantage.
• Experience working in an SME with exponential planned growth.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in team development.
