Equifind has partnered with one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in the UK to assist in the recruitment of a Group Tax Manager. This newly established role will be based at their London office near Liverpool Street station and requires office-attendance three days pw.

It has achieved an average revenue growth of 46% over the past five years and proudly maintains 40% female representation in senior management roles. As they expand into North America, they are seeking a skilled and qualified tax accountant to oversee the groups tax compliance and strategy.
You will manage all aspects of direct and indirect taxation, ensuring that the company’s tax obligations are met while identifying opportunities for tax optimisation. You will work closely with the finance team, external advisors, and senior management to provide sound tax advice and ensure full compliance with relevant tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Key duties include
- Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Advise on tax implications of business operations, transactions, and strategic initiatives, including M&A and cross-border transactions.
- Manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors to ensure the company is compliant with laws and regulations.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and provide guidance on how these changes impact the company’s operations.
- Identify opportunities for tax efficiencies and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to tax matters.
- Provide support for the tax aspects of business restructuring, financing arrangements, and other strategic projects.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting.
- Maintain tax records and documentation in accordance with relevant laws and best practices..
Key requirements
- ACA/CA or CTA qualified.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in tax management, ideally from a financial services or technology background.
- Strong knowledge of UK and US tax law, with experience in cross-border tax.
- Advanced-level Excel skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven stakeholder management experience and relationship building skills.
