Graduate Town Planner - Rural Planning
Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex
Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum

My client, a highly regarded planning consultancy, is seeking a Graduate Town Planner to join their rural planning team based in Southend-on-Sea. This exciting opportunity is perfect for recent graduates with a keen interest in rural planning. • Assist in the preparation of planning applications and reports for rural projects.
• Support senior planners in the management of rural development projects.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to deliver planning solutions.
• Conduct research and assessments to inform planning decisions.
• Stay updated on planning policies and regulations affecting rural areas.

• Qualifications: A degree accredited by the RTPI or an undergraduate degree, ideally in geography, with a strong interest in rural planning. Strong academic background from the start.
• Experience: Some experience in planning, ideally with a focus on rural areas or projects, is highly desirable.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Salary Range: £24,000 - £28,000, depending on experience.
• RTPI Accreditation: The company will fund a part-time RTPI accredited master's degree for successful candidates, allowing you to gain your professional qualification while working.
