Our client are a small but well established Architectural firm, who has designed, built, and extended homes, delivering spaces which meet the needs of their clients and their families.?From delivering large development for a housing association through to individual new build homes, residential conversions and extensions, space planning, internal refurbishments and interior design, our client take a bespoke approach to architectural design to offer their clients a service that is tailored to their exact requirements.

This role would suit an experience Archetectural Technician looking for an exciting new opportunity to play an integral role for a rapidly growing company who will continually in vest in you and your career
The Role:

• Primary responsibility will involve translating the design concepts created by architects into detailed technical drawings and specifications that can be used for construction.
• Projects including: Healthcare, Care homes, Student Accommodation, Residential, Industrial, Sunderland Civic Centre etc
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders
• Ensure designs meet technical and regulatory standards.
• Produce comprehensive construction documentation, including detailed drawings, schedules, and specifications.
• Review and evaluate contractor submittals to ensure compliance with design intent and specifications.
• Research and select appropriate materials, finishes, and construction methods.
• Use BIM software to create and manage digital representations of the physical and functional characteristics of buildings.
• Oversee the technical aspects of projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with various teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Utilize advanced software and technology tools for drafting, modelling, and project management.
• Explore and implement innovative technologies to enhance the efficiency of design and documentation processes.
• Address and resolve technical issues that may arise during the various phases of a project.
• Collaborate with clients
• Present technical information and provide clarification to clients when necessary.
• Hours of work are Monday to Friday 0830 - 1700 - opportunity for Hybrid working.

The Person:

• Architectural Technician, Architectural Technologist or Architectural Assistant
• Proficiency in CAD (Revit cross training provided)
• Commute to Darlington daily
