Social Media & Content Manager
A global consumer products organisation, our client are currently looking to recruit a Social Media and Content Manager to lead its content and social marketing activity to grow the brands profile within the UK. They supply a range of both direct to consumer via online and through traditional retail channels.
Based in their Manchester office the role will have a broad remit across a small team, so an initial hands-on approach will be essential, with a view to build the team as required. The main focus of the role will be on Content and Social, working closely with senior marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Strategy: Develop and execute a cohesive content strategy that aligns with brand values and business goals.
- Social Media Management: Work with the team to plan, create, and schedule engaging content for social media platforms, ensuring a consistent brand voice.
- Campaign Development: Lead social and content campaigns to promote products, drive traffic, and engage consumers.
- Content Creation: Produce high-quality content, including blog posts, newsletters, product descriptions, and social media posts, tailored to our audience.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and report on content performance, using insights to optimise future strategies.
- Community Engagement: Build and nurture our online community by responding to comments, messages, and fostering meaningful connections.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the product, marketing, and sales teams to align content with brand initiatives and launches.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with social media trends, algorithm changes, and industry developments to inform content decisions.
Key Requirements - Proven experience in a content or social media management role, preferably within consumer products
- Strong copywriting and storytelling skills.
- Excellent understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
- Experience with content planning tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Insights).
- Basic graphic design and video editing skills. Familiarity with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A keen eye for aesthetics and detail, ensuring content aligns with brand identity.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and keyword research.
- Understanding of influencer marketing and partnerships.
