Higher Level Teaching Assistant

HLTA - Lancaster:

Prospero teaching are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to join one of our excellent primary schools near to Lancaster. You will be covering lessons while the teacher is on PPA.

This is a part time role, Monday to Thursday, to start in January. You will need excellent curriculum knowledge of both core and foundation subjects as well as experience of leading a class. This role does require a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Position Details:

• Location: Lancaster
• Position: HLTA
• Hours: Mon-Thurs, 8:30am-3:45pm, during term time
• Type of Work: Temporary, Part time
• Minimum Rate of Pay: £95 per day, depending on experience
• Start date: Jan 2025
• End date: Ongoing

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential for this role
• Previous experience leading lessons in a primary school setting
• Up to date Safeguarding certificate within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
• Team Teach training would be highly desired

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold right to work in the UK
• Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
