Summary
We’re looking for a Holidays Operations Manager to be responsible for a high profile and year-round campsite, Waterclose Meadows and leading a small team of 5 staff and a growing group of volunteers. You'll make sure that all guests have their best possible holiday with the National Trust. You'll work closely with colleagues from the neighbouring property (Houghton Mill) and regularly communicate with a friendly team of campsite managers across the national portfolio, sharing best practice.

Life on a campsite can be fast-paced at times and this role is both guest-facing and is required to be hands on with day-to-day campsite and compliance tasks. You'll join a team of positive people with a can-do spirit and have the opportunity to grow and learn in this position with dedicated training for this role as well as becoming part of a closely knit network of Holidays Manager for campsites at the National Trust, some of whom have been in post for more than ten years. You'll lead a small team and work alongside colleagues at the campsite every day.
What you'll be doingYou'll be guiding your teams through various processes, including team development, compliance, operational maintenance and daily queries that you’ll need to help them with.
You'll work alongside Trust colleagues to explore new holiday opportunities in the area and to identify and develop new sites.
You’re responsible for the budgets of the holiday sites in your area, so you'll keep a close eye on controlling costs, targets and bookings.
As with any role involved in holidays, you'll also be meeting and talking to guests. Your daily contact with them will be essential for you to gain a deeper understanding of what they need from us and how their holiday could be improved. Your priority will be to provide excellent experiences for all our guests, every time.
