What it's like to work hereNational Trust York Shop is one of the few remaining National Trust high street shops. We have the opportunity to share the stories of our products and places with people who visit and live the historic city of York. All the proceeds from our shop contribute to the upkeep of our York National Trust places including Beningbrough, Goddards and Treasurer's. Treasurer's House is the nearest property and we have strong links with this special place, both historically and on a day to day basis. Frank Green, the last owner of Treasurer's House, gifted the building that the National Trust Shop is in to the National Trust. Visitors to this site are encouraged to spend in the shop after their visit and likewise the team actively promote National Trust membership and visiting nearby properties.
