Summary
As the public face of Wicken Fen, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. You will ideally have an enthusiasm for nature and enjoy working with people.
Salary: £11.64 an hour
Duration: Permanent
Hours: 22.5 hours/ 3 days a week Involves working weekends (on a rota basis), some bank holidays and one late evening per week in the summer months.

What it's like to work hereReporting to our Visitor Welcome Manager you will part of a small, friendly team delivering excellent customer service and a wonderful welcome to our visitors. You will be based in our Visitor Centre and work closely with our retail team to give our visitors a memorable day and ensure that everyone is welcome. Part of your role will involve working in our fundraising "Book Nook" and helping to update our "Discovery Area", all vital parts of the visitor experience.
Wicken Fen is a national nature reserve and a very special place. This post would ideally be suited to someone with a love for nature and an enthusiasm for working with people. Working at Wicken Fen is diverse, we have a wide range of lovely visitors from families to bird enthusiasts, from nature lovers to photographers, no day is ever the same.
What you'll be doing Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from key property events to social media promotion - no two days are the same.Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide. This role would suit anyone with enthusiasm for delivering great customer service.
