SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD Support) - DE23 Area

We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a primary school in DE23. This role is perfect for someone who is patient, creative, and committed to making a positive impact on a child's educational journey.
The Role:Provide tailored support to a pupil with ASD in the classroom and during school activities.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Use strategies to manage behaviour positively and effectively.
Assist with sensory and emotional regulation when required.
Previous experience working with children with ASD or other special educational needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach.
A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
