Financial Controller

Overview

A successful and fast-growing business based in Smethwick is seeking an experienced and proactive Financial Controller to join its team. Offering a salary of £50,000 - £60,000, this role provides an exciting opportunity to oversee financial operations, drive strategic decision-making, and contribute directly to the organization's success.

This role involves working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to develop financial plans, monitor performance, and ensure robust financial controls. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic business environment.

What is Required

• Expertise in producing and monitoring financial and commercial business plans, including variance reporting.
• Experience in the reporting, planning, and analysis of business cases, change programmes, and contracts.
• Proven ability to manage multi-million-pound financial forecasts, budgets, and targets with full P&L accountability.
• Advanced skills in the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of finance systems and processes.
• Competence in managing negotiations with providers, suppliers, and strategic partners.
• Experience in leading and developing multi-skilled technical and cross-functional teams.
• A professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred, with extensive experience in a senior finance role.
