Finance Consultant

A Local Authority in West London are looking to appoint a talented Finance Consultant on an Interim basis and are working with Spencer Clarke Group to fill the role.

About the role:

This role will be within the Safety Valve/Children's directorate, providing specialist support through provision of useful, accurate and understandable financial analysis and advice to senior members of the council.

What's on offer:

• Rates: £595 - £750 per day, inside IR35.

*Negotiable based on experience

• Contract type: Contract (37 hrs a week)
• Hours: 09:00 -17:00

Based in West London (Hybrid):

Responsibilities:

• To develop and support improvement projects within the Directorate from a finance perspective.
• Take lead responsibility for financially significant and technically complex areas of the budget and lead and participate in cross-cutting projects.

About you:
You will have the following experience:

• Fully qualified Accountant - CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
• Experience as a finance professional in a large and complex public sector organisation and an understanding of the annual financial cycle and regime within local authorities.
