Management Accountant

Robert Half are excited to be partnering with a rapidly expanding, PE backed, business in Bury St Edmunds as they look to hire a new Management Accountant to join their ever-expanding team. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for onboarding incoming acquisitions, setting them up on the system, and then owning their management accounts processes.

This will be an exciting role for someone who's used to working with multiple entities at once, and "spinning multiple plates". The acquisitions will come in gradually, steadily increasing the roles' responsibilities, but also allowing progression within the finance department, and personal growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Ownership of the month end process e.g. month end adjustments, processing accruals, prepayments, etc.
• Weekly flash reporting on sales.
• Raising ad hoc sales invoices.
• Bank reconciliations and bank transactional posting.
• Reconciling balance sheets.
• Monitoring finance inbox and dealing with queries as required.
• Assist with VAT return production.
• Other ad hoc duties as may be required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent qualified.
• Strong management accounts preparation experience.
• Sage experience highly desirable.
• Strong communicator who is comfortable and confident building relationships across the business.
• Team player, willing to support other team members as required.
• Detailed orientated and self-reflective. Will to take responsibility for reviewing own work.
• Comfortable with ongoing changes to processes and ability to demonstrate ways of improving efficiency.

Salary and benefits:

The role of Management Accountant is offered with a salary of up to £60,000 plus benefits. You will work on a hybrid basis and be expected in the office two days a week with the remained working from home.
