Meraki Talent are working with a leading overseas bank to help them identify a Regulatory Compliance Officer.

You will assist the Compliance Monitoring team with the execution of the Branch’s compliance monitoring plan and to promote the Compliance department within the Branch and assist towards maintaining the compliance framework.

Helping the Compliance team to ensure that the Bank meets all necessary regulatory requirements and obligations in a timely manner and to the required standard.

Provide assistance to the Line Manager and Head of Compliance in carrying out duties allocated on various regulatory matters as and when required.

Some of your other duties and responsibilities will include:

• Executing compliance monitoring tasks assigned in line with Branch’s compliance monitoring plan and framework.
• Contributing to ensuring that the departmental Compliance monitoring procedure is up to date and reviewed in detail at least annually.
• Assist with departments Compliance administrative tasks such as meeting minutes, maintenance of records.
• Assist with the new joiners and leaver process
• To assist in the administration of branch wide training material, including gathering data on completion of mandatory training events.
• To assist the compliance team in ensuring that the compliance function remains up to date with requirements issued by any statutory and regulatory authority authorities.
• To support where necessary, the business units on regulatory matters and to escalate items to senior members of the Compliance team as required.
• To investigate and report upon breaches of internal policy as required by the Line Manager and / or Head of Compliance
• To continuously work towards increasing knowledge and competence within the role and assist in proactively demonstrating a professional compliance function within the Branch.

We are looking for:

• Previous experience of working for a bank in a Regulatory Compliance / Compliance Monitoring role
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Up to date understanding of FCA regulatory requirements
• The ability to manage and prioritise workloads
