QUANTITY SURVEYOR

New contract opportunity available in Cheshire for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Quantity Surveying services who has experience delivering capital projects in the pharma or similar industry.

• Based in Macclesfield
• 4 days on-site
• Circa £40ph (via Umbrella)
• Initial contract until December 2025
• Eligible for BPSS clearance

WHAT WILL THE QUANTITY SURVEYOR BE DOING?

You will deliver end-to-end Quantity Surveying support, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and ensuring compliance with company procedures. Responsibilities include:

• Acting as the main point of contact for SAP/CATs and Capital Approval System queries.
• Managing interfaces with the Finance Department for project portfolio queries.
• Utilizing and interfacing with the CEMAR system for NEC4 contract management.
• Leading project and contract performance reviews and audits.
• Producing ITT documents, including scope works and contract documentation.
• Supporting tender assessments and supply chain negotiations.
• Administering supply chain contracts and advising on contractual obligations.
• Raising Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and certifying payments in SAP.
• Evaluating contract variations, Early Warning Notices (EWNs), and claims.
• Providing monthly Anticipated Final Cost (AFC) forecasts and Value of Work Done (VoWD) reports.
• Concluding Final Accounts and supporting dispute resolutions.

WE NEED THE QUANTITY SURVEYOR TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING...

• Experience in Quantity Surveying roles with expertise in NEC4 contracts.
• Proficiency in SAP systems and financial reporting.
• Strong skills in contract administration, cost audits, and claim evaluations.
• Familiarity with CEMAR (Construction Contract Management Software).
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of capital funding applications and asset structure management.
