We are looking for a hands on Assistant Accountant to support a growing consulting business based in central London.

This position reports to the Finance Manager and requires someone with a keen eye for detail who is hard working and a strong communicator.

Wish List

• At least 3+ years experience in a transactional finance role
• Experience working in multi-entity business.
• Motivated self starter who can work independently when needed.
• Solid knowledge of double entry
• A capable Excel user.

The Role

The successful Assistant Accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Purchase ledger processing
• Sales ledger processing
• Managing the payments process
• Post to and update cashbooks
• Perform regular bank reconciliations
• Process and maintain monthly staff expenses
• Post necessary monthly journals
• Assist preparation of VAT returns
• Support the month end and year end process

We need someone who is bright, enthusiastic and comfortable with the nitty gritty elements of finance in a fast paced business environment

Great attention to detail and an ability to handle queries both internally and externally is essential!

Your Profile

We are looking for a bright and adaptable Assistant Accountant who has experience delivering a broad range of transactional finance tasks.

Experience of finance systems is essential as well as capable Excel skills (Vlookups etc)

£35,000 - £40,000 plus bonus and benefits. This role is based in central London with easy public transport links.
