About the role;

As a Senior DevOps Developer you will be focusing on transforming:

  • Legacy TSG services and systems into cloud native solutions delivered in a repeatable fashion, following an agile software delivery methodology.
  • TSGs current approach to the build and delivery of Microsoft technologies, replacing manual approaches with automated solutions.
  • Developing solution for Dynamics CE / Power Platform and SharePoint


Alongside developing high-quality code, you will be expected to support and mentor junior members of the team and to contribute to the ongoing evolution of our technology strategy and processes.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

  • Design structured, maintainable systems which meet TSG or customer’s requirements effectively
  • Develop systems efficiently by selecting and using the right tools for the job
  • Use the appropriate paradigms when writing code, ensuring code is clear, maintainable and ultimately re-usable
  • Test systems to ensure quality
  • Maintain stability and performance while integrating and release systems
  • Maintain code quality by advocating peer reviews, pair programming and at all times share knowledge with wider team
  • Keep our applications running smoothly by gaining insight into system performance, determining root cause of incidents and optimal approach to their remediation
  • Utilise a DevOps approach and the appropriate tooling to automate software build and deployment using (CI/CD)
  • Utilise monitoring and event logging tools effectively, ensuring the right data is transmitted to provide the necessary insights to keep systems running smoothly

Knowledge, Skills & Experience;

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable track record of design and delivery of moderately complex projects
  • Essential knowledge within C#, ASP .NET, CSS, JavaScript, T-SQL, PowerShell, bicep, GIT
  • Essential knowledge within Redis, SQL Server
  • Essential knowledge within Azure functions, web applications, storage, logic apps, key vault, service buses, Identity Services, Graph and DevOps
  • Essential knowledge within Dynamics 365, Power Platform, SharePoint and Microsoft 365
  • You must be comfortable examining the code of our services when necessary, to debug or suggest improvements
  • You will have a security-first mindset at all times, covering confidentiality, integrity and availability
  • You must be comfortable working in a remote based role and willing to travel when required
  • Significant experience within DevOps software development and/or operations involving DevOps tools and ways of working
  • Commercial experience developing cloud native applications
  • Experience in emigrating legacy platforms into the cloud
  • Working with a quality first approach - performance testing, integration testing and unit testing
  • Working in agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
