Are you a skilled Occupational Therapist with a passion for neuro-rehabilitation? Do you want to work in a supportive, multidisciplinary team environment? Join MFT with the at the Inpatient Neuro-Rehab team, where you’ll help patients regain their independence and enhance their quality of life.
As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will undertake advanced assessments and deliver tailored treatment plans for patients with complex neurological, physical, and psychological needs. This role involves close collaboration with community therapy teams, social care services, and voluntary sector providers to ensure seamless care transitions and the best outcomes for patients.
Main duties of the job
• Conduct comprehensive therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Manage a caseload autonomously, working within multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, therapy students, and apprentices
. • Lead goal-setting and review meetings, discharge planning, and interventions aligned with best practice
. • Participate in service development, audits, and research projects to enhance clinical practices
. • Support operational processes and contribute to the ongoing development of the neuro-rehab service.
To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
• Degree in Occupational Therapy with HCPC registration.
• Proven experience in neuro-rehabilitation or similar clinical settings.
• Expertise in capacity assessments, goal-oriented rehabilitation, and discharge planning.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage patients and mentor team members.
