We are looking for experienced and passionate Social Workers to join a dedicated Community Team. In this role you would ideally have 2-3 years’ experience within Adults Social Care. Throughout all that you do you will ensure that you uphold and champion best practise. Together we focus on solving problems before they escalate and we meet the needs of our vulnerable adults, reducing the risk of harm. You will supervise the day to day management of those cases for which you are the named worker. Social Workers will intervene with legal and procedural authority to protect vulnerable people at risk of abuse or neglect; to help individuals, families and groups to sustain and develop their capacities for independent living and in complex situations to try to prevent or resolve conflict which may place individuals at risk.
There is a requirement to participate in a duty system. Ensure that reports are up to date, of a high quality and submitted according to appropriate timescales. Undertake mental capacity and best interests’ assessments and ensure the findings are recorded in a timely manner, in line with the Mental Capacity legislations. Lead safeguarding enquiries, ensuring completion within timescales and outcomes recorded and shared with relevant parties, in line with the Care Act 2014. Undertake direct work with people, carers and families in line with interagency safeguarding adults Communicate skilfully and confidently in complex or high-risk situations and escalate to senior management, as appropriate. There is an expectation that the post holder will be a driver and be office based 3 days per week.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, informed by the values and principles of social care; you will be supporting in the delivery of person centred, safe and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience you’ll make assessments and decisions about the most appropriate interventions. Applying your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills you’ll establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to ensure services meet identified needs.
