Ford Halewood Transmissions, a leader in electric vehicle technology, is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team as we build a cutting-edge EV powertrain production facility.

As the first site in Europe to manufacture EV components, our Halewood facility is undergoing a significant transformation, and we are investing heavily in this innovative project. You'll be a vital part of ensuring our production lines run smoothly and efficiently.

Salary: £43,912.80 (including the 35% holiday bonus)

Hours: Various shifts available - flexibility required

In this hands-on role, you'll:

  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on a range of equipment, including Siemens PLC controlled systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, CNC machines, and robots.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks according to manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to ensure optimal machine performance and minimise downtime.
  • Collaborate with a team of skilled technicians, engineers, and production personnel to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Work with vendors and other departments to ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standards and production goals are met.

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician with:

  • A recognised Engineering Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems, including PLC, pneumatics, hydraulics, and CNC machines.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to safety procedures and a proactive approach to safety in the workplace.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
