The Role:
The Customer Liaison Clerk will be responsible for processing customer orders and addressing enquiries. This includes ensuring that products, pricing, and delivery requirements are managed accurately and in alignment with both customer expectations and company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Process orders according to company procedures and management guidance.
- Send timely order acknowledgements to customers.
- File documents to ensure full traceability of all orders.
- Assist with customer enquiries via phone and email.
- Provide quotes and process orders following company pricing policies.
- Update customer portals with delivery schedules and relevant details.
- Handle complaints, process returns, and request credit notes when needed.
- Generate ad-hoc reports as required.
- Perform other associated tasks to support the smooth operation of the commercial department.
Qualifications required:
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
Required Skills:
- IT proficient, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Proven sales order processing or data entry experience
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Highly accurate and precise in work.
- Drives and has own vehicle
Desirables:
- Customer service training.
- Experience within a Customer service / Manufacturing / Engineering environment.
- Knowledge of EFACS system or similar ERP system.
