Our Basingstoke, Hampshire based client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead and refine their accounting operations, ensuring precision, efficiency, and a robust control environment.
As a Finance Manager, you’ll be at the heart of financial operations, managing key accounting activities and supporting the business with accurate and timely financial insights. You’ll play a vital role in driving process improvements, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the strategic growth of the team and the organisation.


What will the Finance Manager role involve?

  • Own and oversee the trial balance with comprehensive monthly commentaries.
  • Manage revenue recognition, cost of goods sold, inventories, and financial provisions.
  • Lead overhead trend analysis, fixed asset responsibilities, and bank payment approvals.
  • Ensure seamless customer and intercompany invoicing processes.
  • Implement and enhance processes for accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Collaborate on audits, ensuring timely resolution of auditor requests and successful closure.
  • Support international entities with financial compliance, funding, and statutory requirements.

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Manager vacancy:

  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACMA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong technical accounting expertise and advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables).
  • Proven ability to refine processes while maintaining robust controls.
  • Experience in multi-entity period-end closes (desirable).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and deadline management.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and ability to adapt to change.
