What You Need to Have - Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering (MSc preferred).
- At least 4-5 years of experience in OHL design within the UK. (National Grid)
- Proficiency in OHL design software such as PLS-CADD, Tower, or Pole (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of UK standards and safety regulations for overhead line projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Proven track record of delivering complex OHL projects on time and within budget.
- Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor junior team members.

About the Role As an OHL Design Engineer, you'll be a technical expert responsible for designing, developing, and delivering overhead power line projects.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Designing OHL routes, selecting materials, and preparing technical specifications using tools like PLS-CADD.
- Leading and managing OHL projects, ensuring compliance with UK standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Collaborating with other disciplines (civil, structural) and subcontractors to achieve project goals.
- Overseeing the preparation of designs, layouts, and technical reports.
- Mentoring junior engineers and sharing best practices.
