Financial Accountant

Robert Half are delighted to be partnering with an international and leading Automotive business to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent, full-time basis.

As Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Ensuring that financial information remains accurate and compliant with accounting standards
• Supporting in the completion of financial tasks during month-end, quarterly and year-end
• Providing input into the production of monthly management reports and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that discrepancies are resolved
• Leading on the annual group consolidation and supporting in the preparation of the annual group statutory accounts
• Liaising with external auditors and consultants, as well as the wider finance function and non-finance departments
• Supporting and coaching the Assistant Financial Accountant
• Driving improvements in group accounting processes, implementing new processes and supporting ad-hoc projects
• Supporting in the preparation of the annual Budget for multiple business units, including liaising with budget holders and senior management

The successful Financial Accountant, will have the following qualifications and experience:

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified
• Proven experience with the preparation and review of financial statements
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify variances and unexpected results
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

As Financial Accountant, you will be entitled to the following:

• £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
• Permanent Contract
• Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm (1 hour lunch)
