SIGRENEA, a sub’s SUEZ DIGITAL SOLUTIONS, aims to accelerate the development and deployment of smart and environmental solutions on a global scale:

- Waste : digital solutions for the performance of waste collection, reduce the footprint of the service and optimising the rounds with sensors. Geolocalising and making asset management smart. Deployment advice with a view to incentive tax, improvement of sorting quality (access control for bins and related solution)

- Water : control waste drinking water networks with connected valves, and control wastewater systems (manhole) with filling level sensors.

- Innovation : We produce and carry out tests (Proof of concept) for our customers for all subjects of water and waste innovations.

Location - UK Wide

Salary - £50,000-£70,000 DOE Plus Car, Uncapped Commission,

WORKING PATTERN: Monday to Friday - Travel as required

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE/DESCRIPTION:

The Business Development Manager will:

  • Develop and deliver a sales strategy for Sigrenea Digital products and services in the UK
  • Work with the Global Team to understand our portfolio, references and applicability to the UK market and develop a go-to-market strategy
  • Identify, build and grow strategic relationships with UK Waste and Water Utilities
  • Identify, build and grow strategic relationships with partner organisations
  • Understand the key drivers for our products with specific utilities
  • Maintain awareness of technical solutions coming to market or existing in the market and how these impact our strategy and offering
  • Feed market intelligence back to the SUEZ management, SUEZ leadership and marketing teams
  • Be responsible for identifying business opportunities that will leverage the Suez Water or Waste front sales teams to close the opportunities
  • If required, own the entire sales process from prospection to closing
  • Provide input to company Strategy meetings, finding new opportunities to which services can be applied or modified to provide
  • Help to deliver appropriate tenders for services
  • Identify and manage synergies, opportunities between SUEZ Group, developing bespoke projects and scopes to the benefit of the group

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

The objective for the BDM is to achieve the annual sales target and to help the business to evolve the service offerings in accordance with group strategy and to meet clients’ needs. Targets are set annually and performance against this target is reviewed over the financial year.

This requires the BDM to:

  • Develop new business, new market sectors and new services
  • Undertake knowledge exchange on the UK Digital Market and our current portfolio of solutions (Sigrenea)
  • Develop a go-to-market strategy and sales plan in collaboration with the UK Commercial Director and Managing Director
  • Adapt our services to meet client needs
  • Review, develop and deliver the Sales Strategy
  • Provide commercial leadership for tenders and higher value proposals produced by colleagues
  • Produce tenders, proposals and supporting customer discovery documentation
  • Record and report sales data through Salesforce CRM and other agreed formats to the Sigrenea Commercial Director and sales team
  • Feed market intelligence back to the Sigrenea Commercial Director, and Marketing Team
  • Identify synergies with the wider SUEZ group

Skills and Experience: Essential

  • Knowledge of the UK Water and Waste Utilities Markets
  • Knowledge of local regulations in the Waste and Waste Markets as well as custom laws
  • Knowledge of Digital technologies and solutions and the features and benefits of these technologies
  • Proven sales background with proven frameworks such as SONCAS, NLP
  • Knowledge of IOT network technologies (NB-IOT, Lora, Wize)
  • Knowledge and interest in environmental solutions and trends
  • Detailed knowledge of the UK Water and Waste Utilities procurement methods, Asset Planning Processes, targets and initiatives
  • Ability to balance a varied workload and prioritise key activities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent planning, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Native English speaking & writing skills. French knowledge a bonus.
  • Mastery of IT tools (MS Office, CRM, ERP)
  • Existing relationships with key businesses in the Digital Waste and/or Water markets
