Field Service Fork Lift Truck Engineer
The Role
You will cover the Northampton area with your key responsibilities including…
· To find, diagnose and rectify faults on customer FLT’s as deemed necessary by site and contract and order the necessary spare parts as efficiently as possible
· To adhere to all company H&S and Environmental policies and procedures and site policies and to ensure familiarity with the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and 14001:2004.
· Ensure Midas and all paperwork is completed accurately and within the stipulated time period and with the relevant order numbers
· To liaise with the first line of management for authorisation of parts and process order numbers accordingly .
· Work under own initiative without constant supervision
· To ensure all allocated work is adhered to and to notify Team Leader if in arrears
· Ensure that the specified Engineering Standards and Safe Working Practices and all Company Policies and Procedures are followed at all times.
· To obtain hour meter readings /site information as requested by Contract Admin dept as appropriate.
· To ensure that all stock levels/movement records are accurate and correct
· Ensure all company issued equipment is kept in a satisfactory condition
· To take on any additional duties as required by the Team Leader to ensure smooth running of the departmental function.
Field Service Fork Lift Truck Engineer
The Candidate
We are open to a range of experience and would encourage candidates with engineering skills to apply. The salary will depend on how much experience you have with working on Fork Lifts.
· Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering or Hydraulics experience
· Ideally you will have an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, although this is not essential.
· You will need to be IT literate and able to use latest technology to keep accurate records and place orders.
· You must hold a full UK driving license.
· Good communication skills to liaise with our customers and your internal colleagues
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Take pride in your work and complete tasks to the highest standard
· A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
· A positive and can-do attitude
